Spooktober Strings 2026

Spooktober Strings is the ONLY Halloween Strings event in town, and this year it’s BIGGER, BETTER, AND SPOOKIER than ever! 
Introducing: TWO CREEPY CASTS!

Spooktober Strings is open to 8th grade through high school string students who are ready for a wickedly fun week of music, mayhem, and a few musical hauntings.

To join the creepy crew, players should be comfortable playing in:

  • Key signatures with up to 4 sharps or 4 flats

  • 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 6/8, and 9/8 time signatures

  • Music containing accidentals

Bringing joyful, cheerful tunes to the community just in time for Spring! Join Julie and friends for a fun and cheerful spring concert at local senior living communities. We’ll have two relaxed rehearsals and two heartwarming performances. It’s all about sharing music, making memories, and bringing smiles. For 8th-12th grade strings students Rehearsals: Wednesday and Thursday, April 29 & 30, 7-8:30pm at the Olympia Center Performances will be scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 2 & 3 Registration fee: $35

This year, we’ll have two Creepy Casts of musicians. Each cast will complete one wicked week that includes:

👻 Black music folder with all sheet music included

Cast #1 The Sinister Strings Squad $89

October 13-17

Rehearsals: Tuesday and Wednesday, October 13 & 14, 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the Olympia Center (222 Columbia Street)
Hauntings: Thursday October 15, 7:00pm-8:00pm at the Tumwater Craft District and Friday and Saturday October 16 & 17, 7:00 – 8:30pm at the Avanti Haunted School.

Cast #2 The Macabre Music Makers $89

October 20-24

Rehearsals: Tuesday and Wednesday, October 20 & 21, 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the Olympia Center (222 Columbia Street)
Hauntings: Thursday October 22, 7:00pm-8:00pm at the Tumwater Craft District and Friday and Saturday October 23 & 24, 7:00 – 8:30pm at the Avanti Haunted School.

Each Creepy Cast is limited to 12 players, so choose your preferred week carefully!

When you sign up, please choose the week that works best for you and agree to commit to all 5 dates for that week.
